A little glimpse in to who makes Heritage Gardening and Estate Land & Property Management
Owen Grummitt
Head Gardener
Owen Grummitt has a BSc in Environmental Science and has just achieved a Distinction in the RHS Master of Horticulture, having won the 2022 Japanese Garden Society full scholarship. He has been working as Head Gardener at Heritage Gardening Ltd since 2014.
Hannah Grummitt
Hannah has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture. She is our in-house expert on propagation and vegetable gardening and has a special interest in Sensory Gardens.
Matthew
Matthew is one of our senior gardeners. He is a skilled landscaper and horticulturalist, having joined the team back in May 2021.
In 2025, Matthew set up a new landscaping and gardening firm, called Mortarculture, which he is running in partnership with Owen.
Caroline
Caroline joined the team in March 2022, and is equally at home with border care and mixed pruning works. She has a particular interest in garden design and wildlife friendly gardens.
Damian
Joining back in March 2020, Damien is our resident handyman and leads on fencing and garden structure projects.
Richard
Richard is an award winning allotment gardener and comes to us having worked for some years maintaining gardens in the Salisbury area - including Cathedral Close. He's been part of the team since July 2022.
Katy
Katy is an energetic all rounder and is currently studying for her RHS Level 2 qualifications. Katy has been a member of the team since May 2023.
William
William is the most handsome member on the team and in charge of website design.
Leah
Leah joined the team in 2025, with a background in horticulture retail. She excels in plant identification and has a special interest in Japanese gardens.
Jill
Jill is an energetic gardener, with a wide range of experience. She loves restoring order and renovations.
Jack
Jack is an experienced groundsman - he excels in mowing, hedges and keeping larger properties in order.
Monique
Monique undertook the Work and Retrain as a Gardener (WRAGS) scheme in Autumn 2024, and has achieved her RHS Level 2 qualification. She has particular interest in herbaceous borders and wildlife friendly gardens.
Mark
Mark has a background in nature conservation and furniture making. He particularly excels in pruning and hedge cutting works.
Debbie
Debbie is a hard working, enthusiastic member of the team and a great all rounder. She spends most of her time looking after our manor gardens.
